Capture: getting documents in
DocMGT accepts documents however they arrive:
- Uploads and drag and drop
- Scanning, with OCR on every page
- Digital forms, filled in on a computer or phone
- Online portals, where customers or suppliers submit documents themselves
With AI capture, it reads invoices, receipts, ID documents and bank statements and extracts the data, without a template for every layout. It can also split a batch of scanned pages into separate documents and file each one against the right record.
Workflow: moving work along
Once a document is in, workflow decides what happens next. Documents and forms are routed for review and approval, with reminders, escalations and a full audit trail of who did what and when. Approval rules can follow amounts, departments or locations.
Search: finding anything quickly
Every document is searchable by its content, not only its file name. With the AI features, users can also search in plain English, ask for a summary of a document or of a record's history, and have email replies drafted.
Connecting to AI assistants
DocMGT includes a built in MCP server, which lets AI assistants such as Claude connect to the platform securely and work with documents and records under the same permissions as a user.
Where businesses use it
Common uses include:
- Accounts payable. Invoice capture, three way matching, approvals and supplier statement reconciliation.
- Transport and logistics. Proof of delivery, trip sheets and vehicle inspections.
- Branch operations. Requisitions, stock transfers and credit applications.
